Take-2 International Student Film Festival
Greetings and welcome to Kerry’s First International Student Film Festival. The Take-2 Film Festival will take place this year from Monday November 3rd to Friday November 7th. It has so far attracted great interest, from various colleges around Ireland and beyond. Dun Laoghaire College, Ballyfermot, Limerick Institute Of Technology, Tralee Institute Of Technology and Cork Institute Of Technology have already expressed an interest, with the Shortz Film Festival in Virginia, USA, also expressing deep interest in the festival.We hope that the festival will become a huge success in its first year of existence, and become host to some very special films. It will run in conjunction with the www.kerryfilmfestival.com, also taking place in November from Saturday the 1st to Saturday the 8th.
The festival itself will take place primarily at the Institute Of Technology Tralee, and selected screenings will be shown all of that week. There should be a wide variety of material on show with 5 different sections to be adjudicated. Irish Short, International Short, Documentary, ás Gaeilge, and Animation.
We also hope to attract many special guests at the week of the festival, with ongoing plans still "under wraps" for the moment but announcements can be expected very shortly.
I'd like to take this opportunity to thank all those who have been in support of Take-2 so far, and I hope that you will all witness a festival that you won't forget too soon.
