A monumental Success

The first ever Take-2 Student International Film Festival has been hailed a monumental success by supervisors and visitors of the festival. Over 300 visitors attend the screenings and entertainment at this years festival,
a figure which surpassed everyone’s expectations. The week started off with ITT VS DIT Shorts and the crowds just grew in size form here on in, until the rest of the week, where ITTS own Donnacha Toomey put on an amazing show alongside local Tralee legend James Kennedy and company at Clubheadbangbang Tralee. Melissa Sheehys Art exhibition was also very well received as your work was on display at the ITT throughout the festival.

The week was topped off by a star studded awards ceremony at fels point in Tralee, where Oscar Winner Brenda Fricker and Jim Sheridan (Director of Once) was in attendance for the presentation and screening of the winners.

It begins what is an ever growing platform for the work of the young student film-makers all around the world. The festival gave the students a chance to be discovered in the large world of film, and while the Take-2 Festival is still only a small
festival in the film festival sea, it can fast become the biggest little Student
film festival in the world.

Thanks to all those who attended our screenings, without your participation none of this would have been possible.
