“We are absolutely thrilled at the news that Laura has agreed to be an adjudicator” Said Jerry Fitzgerald, adding that “We had come across Laura’s Documentary, and thought that this is an opportunity that we had to follow up on. We are pinching ourselves at the appointment.”

Speaking to T2FF Laura had this to say:
“I am honored to be a part of the Take-2 festival and am eager to see the work of student filmmakers from around the world.”

Laura will adjudicate the Documentary category at this year’s festival alongside IT Tralee’s own, Donnacha Toomey, Ashley Gaskin, Marty Boylan and Lisa Mcgelligot. Take-2 Thanks Clubheadbangbang For The Memories

The Take-Film Festival would like to thank Clubheadbangbang and all their members for their hard work and effort since establishing in Tralee 2003. We hope to see the Clubheadders soon and there importance to the youth of Tralee will never be forgotten.

It has been for 6 years, the only alternative venue in the town and it has seen some of the best new Irish talent and great bands from around the globe. It gives me great pride to say that it was also host to some of the greatest people I have ever met.
Thank you for the memories.
------------------------------
From Clubheadbangbang:

Dia daoibh,

Shur it was bound to happen sooner or later, this Thursday's gig will be the
last of our regular weekly events.

:-(

We started chbb with the idea to provide a much needed platform for music and
the visual arts which Tralee was lacking, and although we believe we have
succeeded at this, running events every week was taking up so much of our time
that we forgot about all the other great plans we had.

In the next few weeks we will be announcing details of a compilation CD which
will showcase a diverse range of Kerry artists, bands and musicians. Hopefully
we will still be running gigs and events although they might be a bit less
regular and even a bit nomadic, we will keep you informed via d'email.

We have to say thanks again to everyone who helped run the events over the years
and especially to everyone who came down to support the acts [ and of course the
cause !! ]

It is quite apt that FRED will be playing this week, as they played at the first
event we ran in the Greyhound way back in 2003, full circle eh !

FRED kick off their tour of Ireland, US and Canada in Tralee this Thursday, to
promote their 3rd album 'Go God Go' which goes on release on Friday.

Doors at 9pm, FRED on stage at 10pm
Free Entry [ you may notice that all there other Irish gig are between e12 and
e20 so be thankful of the great haggling we do on your behalf !! if you feel
really really guilty get up on Friday and buy an album ! ]
